volunteer

Community Harvest’s volunteers are the backbone of our organization.  They dedicate their time and energy to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors, and our programs would not be what they are today without the ongoing support of these incredible people.

There are many ways you can volunteer with Community Harvest.  Check out the opportunities below, or click here to fill out a quick form and we’ll be in touch with you about ways in which you can help!

HARVEST CAFE
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our monthly complimentary dinner for the community, and are especially in need of those who can volunteer from 6pm – 8pm.  Volunteers are needed to help prepare, serve, and clean up from dinner each month.  Harvest Cafe is the third Thursday of each month and you can find out more information by calling Eva Barnfather at (207) 967-6170.

PROJECT PILGRIM
Project Pilgrim is our annual Thanksgiving Day event that served over 300 people last year.  We are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of this event: cooking, cleaning, serving, and everything in between!  To learn more about volunteering, please click here or call (207) 967-1911.

THE NOEL DINNER
We could always use volunteers for The Noel Dinner held on Christmas Day at St. Martha’s Church in Kennebunk.  To find out how you can help, call Eva Barnfather at (207) 967-6170.

MAIL NIGHTS
A few times a year, Community Harvest puts together large mailings — newsletters, annual appeal letters, invitations to our fundraising events — and we need help!  If you are interested in folding, stuffing, stamping, sealing, or sorting…we’ve got a job for you!  Call Kerry de Bree at (207) 967-1911 for more information and stay tuned to the website!

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Whether we are handing out our signature homemade cookies at May Day or selling refreshments to movie-goers in Lafayette Park, we always need help at community events.  Call Kerry de Bree at (207) 967-1911 for more information and stay tuned to the website for more details about local events we are going to participate in.
